Acid and Bases

In this lab i learned about that when you but bases or acids in the liquid they turn different colores for example when you put bases into red cabbage turns green. I also learned a new saying which help indicate acids and bases. The sayin goes like this ' Base to Acid is red' so the opposite which is acid to base is blue.

yesterday, i found out that i had a sinus infection. i hope this sinus infection goes away because my head hurted really really bad. In this week i went home everyday because of my headache. i hope this headache gets really better.

like diisolves like

like dissolves like is an expression used by chemists to remember how some solvents works. It refers to polar and nonpolar solvents and solutes. Basic example, Water is polar. Oil is non polar. Water will not dissolve oil. Water is polar. Salt is polar. Like dissolves like so polar dissolves polar so water dissolves salt.

finals week

Very stressed for finals. got to study hard. trying to keep straight A's . . . Just Kidding about all A's but have to get atleast a 3.0 GPA. so can't blog much. Plus I have a more difficult time then other kids because I take seven classes and most kids only take six so there is more pressure on me and definately more stress. Really have to study my Chemistry class because thats the worst grade I have and it's goin to take more time for me to understand.

stressed

this is bizarre in school we have finals in school and im stressed to bring my grades or either keep my grade at where it is i have to do good. so there is no hanging out for me this weekend or the whole next week. i gots to hit the books. almost everyone in the whole school is stressed out. also this week in chemistry we made a song and its hailirious you can see it on youtube. but i cant find it.psck i found the MOLE SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

soft paper

in chemistry our lab had some baby soft paper we had to weigh it and find the molar mass but sadly our group didnt finish so we couldnt get extra credit. when i first came i tried not to throw all the paper around. when icame back tothe same class after school the class had the paper all arounf the whole room. Then after i started to mess around and throw it on my friends for a prank.lol.

degrees

this week we did a kind of fun lab when we have a ball and make bonds with the elements. the dificult pat was that every single bond had to be exactly the same amount of degrees away. After we finished doing that me and my partners started messing around and start making inapropiate things after we already showed it to the teacher and he approved it. the lab was challenging but my friend heloed me onderstnd it better. i learned what to call some of them for example bent, trigonal planar, and linear.
